- Be a key leader in building a discipline of exceptional Data Analysts working on making Monzo world-class at supporting customers in financial difficulties
- Help hire, develop, and retain talented Data people
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders across Monzo to deliver products for our customers
- Bring data leadership and rigor to our approach to product development and build a strategic understanding of the business while structuring complex projects to bring them to life
- Define the long-term strategy of the team and create comprehensive roadmaps for all the projects within your team
- Work and advise on Financial Health’s global expansion strategy
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics that assess business and customer outcomes within Financial Health
- Ensure accurate reporting to third parties and regulators
- Build and maintain controls to ensure our business processes are running as intended
- Work on projects to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our data
- Generate insights that can change the direction of our Financial Health strategy
- Google Cloud Platform for all of our analytics infrastructure
- dbt and BigQuery SQL for our data modeling and warehousing
- Python for data science
- Go to write our application code
- AWS for most of our backend infrastructure

- You have experience managing a team of Data Analysts (required)
- You are a strong strategic data leader and are passionate about using data to improve and inform business decisions
- Strong experience with working with executive or C-level peers, managing stakeholders across levels of seniorities and disciplines
- You know what it takes to manage top-tier Data talent
- You’re excited by the opportunity to work autonomously to impact the future of a fast-growing, ever-evolving business
- You’re familiar with using a variety of Data Analysis tools. You know when to pick the right tool, and can help others do the same
- Experience in Financial Health is a plus, but not required.

About our Financial Health Team:
We are scaling up our Data and Credit team to support the rapid growth and evolution of our portfolio. We are looking for a Data Analytics Manager to lead a team of Data Analysts within our Financial Health squad who are focused on supporting customers in financial difficulty.
As a Data Analyst Manager, you’ll be working in collaboration with Product, Data Science, and Analytical Engineering peers on data-driven insights and initiatives. We’re looking for a data-driven strategic leader with hands-on experience who can bring fresh thinking and new ways to inspire the team and our customers.
What you’ll be working on:
You will manage a team of Data Analysts and work closely with the Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists in an agile product environment. You’ll champion the use of data and bring ideas to life through a rigorous analytical approach. Your work will focus on improving the support we offer to customers in financial difficulty, ensuring our operational processes are well-controlled, and we meet regulatory requirements.

At the core of this mission sits our data platform. We’re great believers in powerful, real-time analytics and empowerment of the wider business. Our engineers collect analytics events from their microservices and upload these into our Data stack for analysis. We optimize for simplicity and re-usability – all our data lives in one place and is made available via our data warehouse in Google BigQuery.
